Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms and conditions carefully before using the services provided by 4 Paws Kennels Ltd. By using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions:

  1. **Booking and Reservations:**

1.1. All bookings and reservations are subject to availability.

1.2. All deposits are non refundable and require a 50% deposit regardless of how many days are booked.

1.3. Changes to reservations must be made at least 2 weeks in advance. We will try our best to accommodate all changes.

1.4. Cancellation policy, we require 2 weeks notice when cancelling your booking and 1 months notice during our peak seasons (Easter, Christmas, Summer – July and August)

1.5 Bookings from 1st October – 1st April are subject to compulsory heating charge

  1. **Check-In and Check-Out:**

2.1. Dogs must be checked in and checked out during our specified operating hours.

2.2. Early check-in, outside our specified operating hours, will incur an additional charge. Please contact us in advance for availability and pricing.

2.3. Late check-out will result in additional charges.

  1. **Dog Health and Vaccinations:**

3.1. All dogs must have up-to-date vaccinations, including protection against canine parvovirus, canine distemper, infectious canine hepatitis, leptospirosis, and kennel cough.

3.2. Proof of these vaccinations must be provided before or upon arrival. Failure to provide proof of vaccinations will result in the cancellation of your booking and the full cost of your booking being paid to us.

3.3. Primary vaccinations must be completed at least 2 weeks before boarding.

3.4. Vaccines used must be licensed for use in the U.K.

3.5. Customers must declare if their dog has received the kennel cough vaccine within the past 2 weeks.

3.6. Dogs with contagious diseases or parasites will not be accepted.

3.7. It is advisable to consult with your veterinarian for preventative measures and to ensure your dog is up to date on the required vaccinations.

  1. **Health and Pre-Existing Conditions:**

4.1. Dogs that are already ill or have pre-existing medical conditions must be disclosed to 4 Paws Kennels Ltd before boarding and at the time of booking and listed on the paperwork at the time of check in

4.2. While we make every effort to provide proper care, we may not be equipped to manage certain medical conditions.

4.3. 4 Paws Kennels Ltd is not liable for any deterioration of pre-existing conditions or any health issues that arise during your dog’s stay.

4.4. We reserve the right to refuse boarding for dogs with severe or contagious pre-existing conditions to ensure the safety and health of all dogs in our care.

  1. **Administration of Medication:**

5.1. If your dog requires medication during their stay at 4 Paws Kennels Ltd, we will administer it according to your instructions and the prescribed schedule, if there are doses outside of our operating hours this will incur and additional charge

5.2. You are responsible for providing the medication, clearly labelled with your dog’s name, dosage, and administration instructions.

5.3. Please inform us of any special handling or storage requirements for the medication.

5.4. We will make reasonable efforts to ensure medication is administered as directed, however 4 Paws Kennels Ltd cannot be held liable for any adverse reactions or complications resulting from the medication.

 

  1. **Distress and Health Manifestations:**

6.1. Some dogs may experience distress when in a new environment and away from their owners. This stress can manifest in various ways, including changes in fur condition, loss of appetite, weight fluctuations, and other behavioural or health manifestations.

6.2. While we make every effort to ensure the comfort and well-being of all dogs in our care at all times, 4 Paws Kennels Ltd cannot take responsibility for such distress or its effects of this distress on your dog.

6.3. We will do our best to communicate any observed changes or issues to the owner in advance to ensure transparency and address concerns as needed.

  1. **Emergency Medical Care and Illness:**

7.1. In case of illness or injury, we will make every effort to contact you and your designated emergency contact.

7.2. If neither you nor your designated emergency contact can be reached, 4 Paws Kennels Ltd will make a decision in the best interest of the dog under professional veterinary advice, which may include seeking medical treatment or care.

7.3. Any veterinary bills incurred must be paid by the owners directly to the treating veterinarian before leaving 4 Paws Kennels. Failure to do so will result in 4 Paws Kennels Ltd extending the stay of your dog at your own cost until the outstanding veterinary bills are cleared.

7.4. While we do our best to provide dogs with the best care and ensure kennels are cleaned on a regular basis, it is important to acknowledge that dogs may occasionally fall ill within our care. In such cases, we will make every effort to promptly notify the dog’s owner and their designated veterinarian if we believe it is necessary. However, please be aware that 4 Paws Kennels Ltd accepts no liability for any illness that may occur during your dog’s stay at our facility. Our primary purpose is to maintain the well-being and safety of all dogs in our care at all times.

  1. **Dog Behaviour:**

8.1. Dogs must be well-behaved, non-aggressive, and social with other dogs.

8.2. We can accommodate aggressive dogs if we are notified in advance. We have trained staff who can manage aggressive dogs when given prior notice.

8.3. Failure to notify us of your dog’s aggressive behaviour may result in the need for immediate removal from the kennel or an increased daily rate in line with the standard aggressive dog rate. This is necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of all dogs and staff in our care. Disclosure of your dog’s behaviour in advance is crucial for providing appropriate care and accommodations.

  1. **Feeding and Water:**

9.1. Dogs at 4 Paws Kennels Ltd are typically fed in the morning and evening unless otherwise advised by the owner.

9.2. The amount of food provided is dependent on the manufacturer’s recommendations unless we receive specific instructions from the owner.

9.3. Fresh water will be supplied and made available to dogs throughout the day.

 

  1. **Dogs’ Belongings:**

10.1. We generally discourage bringing personal items for your dogs since we provide most necessary items during their stay.

10.2. If you find it necessary to bring personal belongings, please ensure they are appropriately labelled with your dog’s name.

10.3. It’s important to note that we do not accept liability for any loss or damage to personal items your dog brings during their stay.

10.4. We take great care to provide for your dog’s needs but cannot be held responsible for the safety of personal belongings they may have with them.

 

  1. **Enrichment Activities:**

11.1. 4 Paws Kennels Ltd is committed to providing enrichment activities for dogs during their stay.

11.2. Enrichment activities are typically offered a minimum of twice a day to ensure mental and physical stimulation.

11.3. The specific types of enrichment activities may vary and will be determined by our staff based on your dog’s needs and preferences.

  1. **Photography and Video:**

12.1. 4 Paws Kennels Ltd may take photos and videos of dogs during their stay for various purposes, If you do not wish for your dog to be photographed please inform our staff members on check in 

12.2. These photos and videos may be used for social media, marketing, and promotional purposes.

12.3. We may also capture “before” and “after” pictures and videos for the company’s reference, showcasing the condition and well-being of the dogs under our care.

  1. **Cancellations and Refunds:**

13.1. Cancellations must be made at least 14 days in advance to receive a refund.

13.2. Deposits are non-refundable.

 

  1. **Liability:**

14.1. 4 Paws Kennels Ltd is not liable for any illness, injury, or escape of dogs during their stay.

14.2. You are fully responsible for any damage and costs incurred caused by your dog to our property or other dogs.

  1. **Death of Dog:**

15.1. In the unfortunate event of a dog’s passing during their stay at 4 Paws Kennels Ltd, the kennel shall not be held liable for the dog’s demise.

15.2. We understand the emotional distress this situation may cause and will provide support and assistance to the owner.

15.3. We will accommodate the needs of the situation, including the preservation of the dog’s remains and arrangements for collection by the owner or a designated party.

 

  1. **Abandoned Dogs:**

16.1. Dogs left unclaimed for 48 hours after their scheduled check-out date may be rehomed or turned over to local animal authorities.

 

  1. **Privacy Policy:**

17.1. We may collect and use personal information in accordance with our privacy policy.

 

  1. **Changes to Terms and Conditions:**

18.1. 4 Paws Kennels Ltd reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. You will be notified of any changes.

 

  1. **Termination of Services:**

19.1. We reserve the right to terminate services if you fail to comply with these terms and conditions.
